Australian born McAuliffe has already had some success on the big screen playing minor parts in Hollywood films, however in 2014 his fortune looks set to change as he takes centre stage in two leading roles.

The actor began his career at the tender age of 12 in the Australian TV series Comedy Inc and got his first big break in Hollywood after playing Alex Pettyfer’s onscreen best friend in the big budget sci-fi flick I Am Number Four, but it wasn't until he played a teenage version of Leonardo Di Caprio’s character Jay Gatsby in 2013's Great Gatsby that studio executives really stood up and took note. The actor will next be seen on cinema screens in mid 2014 playing a leading role in Our Robot Overlords alongside Ben Kinglsey and Gillian Anderson and later that year will play a prominent part in Hacker next to Samuel L Jackson. Similarly high profile roles now look set to follow.
